Dance Starts Monday August 4th...woohoo!!!!!

Dear Parents, 
        I can hardly believe that dance summer is coming to an end, Classes will start up Monday August 4th. I am so excited to have so many returning and new students this coming dance year. I wanted to send out a few reminders about some of the policies and procedures here at the studio! 

Parking:The west side of the road is designated strictly for DROP-OFF, if you need to park please do so on the East side of the road, in my drive way or in front of my house. Absolutely NO double parking, and please do not block the corner. I have great neighbors and want to be especially mindful to keep parking quick and smooth so as not to disrupt the flow of regular traffic.  

Tuition: All tuition is due on the 1st of each month. All tuition paid after the 10th will have a $10 late fee automatically added there will be no exceptions. I send out e-mail reminders each month with all the info you will need for that month. Be sure that your e-mails from academyofdance01@gmail.com aren't going to junk mail. 
Tuition can be turned into the tuition box on the desk, if paying with cash please be sure it is in an envelope labeled with the dancer's name and class time. 

Multi-dance Family Discount: All multi-family dancer families receive a 10% discount each month 

Semester Tuition: If you choose to pay by semester (August-December and January-May) there is a 10% discount for single students or a 5% discount for multi-dancer families (total of 15% with the added 10% multi-family dancer discount) 

Make-Up Classes: I do NOT pro-rate for missed classes, please feel free to do a make-up class in an age appropriate class. Please e-mail or text if you will be missing classes. It is very important that girls are in classes each week, technique and dances will be worked on and added to weekly. 

Dress Code:Dance attire is required in all classes, leotards, biketards, tanks, leggins, tights are all acceptable dance attire. Absolutely NO street clothing, sweats or baggy clothing. Girls are required to wear dance shoes in class. Ballet, Jazz or Foot Undeez are all acceptable. Girls need to have hair pulled up and out of their faces. If girls come with their hair down I will have elastics they will have to use to pull their hair up. Absoluty NO jewelry of any kind allowed in class. 

Costumes:Costume fee's will come out in August and will be due in September. I will post pictures and prices on the blog. 

Recital: There will be a Winter and Spring recital. I have submitted my dates to the district and am waiting to hear back from the high school's once teachers are back in the schools. I will send out both dates as soon as I have them. 

Snacks: Please send water and a small (CLEAN) snack for Academy girls. They will have a small break during class. 

Bathroom:Please be sure that girls use the restroom prior to coming to class.

Whew that is a lot of info, and I'm sure I am forgetting something(s).

My goal is for each girl to receive quality dance instruction in a positive learning environment, I am passionate about what I do and I hope to instill that in each of these dancers. There is so much to be learned from doing dance, dedication, hard-work, and team work on top of dance technique. I am so excited to have your daughter here at Academy of Dance and can not wait for classes to get up an away!
