New Schedule Info. 2013-2014

Parents,
Above is the new 2013-2014 Academy of Dance Schedule. If you need a registration form please e-mail me at academyofdance01@gmail.com.  Please turn the registration form along with the $20 for the first dancer and $15 for each additional dancer back into the studio ASAP. Classes are filled on a first come first serve basis, I will try to get all current students placed in appropriate classes during current student registration. After Monday April 1st I will open registration up to new students and cannot guarantee that all students will have a spot.

All Academy Classes are taken in a block. If you want a class with less time please choose a combo class. We do this because during the academy classes they are getting technique at different times during their block and if taken on a class basis the girls miss out on critical technique. The Monday 8-11 yr old Combo class is a great alternative to the Academy C or B and the girls in that class will perform a ballet/lyrical dance and a jazz dance as well.

I will be enforcing a stricter dress code starting in the fall. All dancers will be required to have their hair pulled up, no jewelry will be permitted and the girls will be required to wear appropriate dance wear attire (as outlined in the policies and procedures.) Dance wear helps me to see their lines, and help to make sure they are completing technique properly. No street clothing or baggy sweats will be permitted. Also all dancers will be required to wear dance shoes. I realize that my younger girls have a tendency to take them off but I will try my best to keep them on in class.

Classes for the fall will begin Monday August 4th. On the back of the schedule are the 2013-2014 Academy of Dance day’s off. Just like before girls will be encouraged to participate in a make-up class for the days we take off. Tuition is calculated based on an annual rate and divided into equal monthly or semester payments. Therefore, there is no pro-rating for months with holidays.

I am really looking forward to the upcoming year. I feel so lucky to get to teach dance, and to see these amazing girls progress over the years. I am grateful to you for allowing me the opportunity to share my love of dance, and appreciate your continued support.

Thanks: Brittani N. Knudsen
