Erin Gadd of "Pink Daffodil Photography" took some amazing shots of the girls during the dress rehearsal and the recital.Click on either the dress rehearsal or the recital in grey and it will link you to the website if you are interested in purchasing some negatives of your daughters in action.

There is a number (DSC_) at the top of each picture. Just email Pink Daffodil at pinkdaffodilphoto@gmail.com with the picture numbers that you would like!

It is $10.00 a negative for the first 5 ($50.00) and then the amount drops down to $5.00 a negative.

Academy of Dance Disney 2010

Well as a dance teacher you spend so much time working towards your recital, there are countless hours spent in the studio, and behind the scenes working to make sure that your girls are ready and that everything goes smooth. As a dance teacher it was definitely pay-day! I want to let all the girls and parents know how proud I am of each and every one of the girls. They looked beautiful and they danced incredible, I couldn't have been more excited for them to have the opportunity to show off all of their hard work. I am so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with each and every girl, and feel so lucky to have such supportive and involved parents, it truly means more then you will every know!

Recital is fast approaching!

Dear parents:

I am so excited and can’t believe how quickly time has gone by this year. We are fast approaching our recital and I couldn’t be more excited for the girls to show off their amazing talent. Here are a few reminders.

1. Dress rehearsal May 24^th from 6:00-7:30 at South Hills Middle School 13501 S. 4000 W. We sill start promptly at 6:00 so please don’t be late. Girls need to come completely dressed and ready to dance.

2. Recital: May 25^th from 6:00-7:30 the girls need to arrive no later than 5:30 and be fully dressed and ready to dance as well. This year I will only be sending the 2 year olds back to parents the 3-4 year old classes will stay back stage.

3. Girls that have more than one costume please see the list below to know which costume to show up in.

a. Academy D: Hip hop (metallic pink, with gold, and tennis shoes)

b. Academy C: Jazz (same costume as for pictures…pink, green or blue halter top with matching short/Capri pants.)

c. Academy B: Jazz (purple velvet top and pants)

d. Academy A: Mackenzie and Ciara Solo everyone else hip hop (jump suits)

P.S. Reminder discount for early registration for returning students is only good until the recital, some of the classes are quickly filling up so be sure to get the classes you want for the fall!

New Schedule!

I am excited to announce that the new

2010-2011 schedule will be going home this week!

The blog has been updated to reflect the new schedule as well.

Starting this week I will open registration to returning students. There is a $5 discount on the registration fee for returning students who register before the recital ($15 and $10 for each additional.)

Starting May 17th I will open registration to new students, so if you have friends or family who may be interested in starting at the studio in the fall please let me know and I will send home additional information.

I will also still hold the registration open house for returning and new students July 31st from 12:00-2:00 pm at the studio
